What stories?
I have a growing repertoire of stories from all over the world and can cover themes or a particular period in time to suit your event.
Characters include enchantments, inspiring women, vengeful demons, talking skulls, crafty old ladies, sacred trees, clever animals, gods, goddesses, giants, tricksters, shapeshifters, mythical heroes, and more.
My main areas are:
- Afro-Caribbean stories inspired by my mission to reconnect with stories from my Trinidadian heritage;
- Norse Myths, Sagas & Old English stories, inspired by my first degree, and my ongoing obsession with surreal goings-on
- Japanese myth, epic and folktale – especially stories in famous Noh plays
… but I’ve also been booked or commissioned to tell other kinds of stories. I’m happy to choose appropriate repertoire myself or be guided by the event in question.

Who for?
Everybody!
Most of the stories I tell are – or can be tailored to be- suitable for all ages, and I love telling stories that anybody can access. I’ve done so at events, festivals, cultural heritage places, theatres or on a site specific basis.
But, I also tell stories for more specific age ranges, with experience of early years, KS1, KS2, college and university students, as well as making work specifically for adult audiences.
where?
Anywhere, really – storytelling is a very flexible art form and I can tailor a performance to fit any space where and audience can be comfortable and my voice can be heard. Here are some of the more common places. you might find me telling stories:
schools and libraries
To supplement the National Curriculum, to improve confidence, oracy and emotional literacy skills, or for pure entertainment – my work in schools takes many forms.
Sessions – across a whole or half day duration, I can give performances in whole school assemblies or experiences more specifically tailored for individual classes, year groups, or school events.
Workshops – I can combine story sessions with relevant creative writing or craft workshop activities, either self contained or in collaboration with other school / college departments. Most
