A ‘photo dump’ isn’t quite the right expression for the incredible experiences these images represent!

Thanks to beautiful #bolzano and a group of truly phenomenal (and impressively multi-lingual) people, since I last posted I’ve become an ‘international storyteller’ 🤯🤩🔥Over a weekend mini-festival #storytellingtimebz and 5 performances, I had the privilege of a) telling most of my favourite stories and writing a new song, b) being translated into Italian by three incredible people (in one case while also playing percussion) who are themselves storytellers of world class talent and integrity & c) revisiting + reworking my storyshow-in-progress HIDE for an audience who have both a deep knowledge of the western folk and fairytales in the ‘once upon a time’ bit of the show, but also their own specific south-tyrolean cultural heritage challenges. Big (for me) stuff! I came home inspired, humbled and dying to go back and bask in the gorgeous energy of the place and the people. I didn’t go back tho – I played music and told stories in London instead! Which is also rather wonderful – thanks for having me @museumofthehome @redbridge_libraries @suttonhousent @stmaryskilburn etc etc Pic 1: View from a bridge, #bolzanobozen. Pic 2: al fresco stories translated by lovely @lorenzo_sirio. Pic 3: HIDE solo version trans. by the one and only @martinapisciali (one of my fave tellers in the world) Pic 4: fairytale onion-eating incident. Pic 5: DEADTOWN family show, drums AND trans. by marvellous @mattia_rgdp. Pic 6: had to be done. Pic 7: sleep-themed stories wide awake! Pic 8: handmade gift to be filled with bi-cultural musings; Pic 9: how I feel when I play the Avocado Song (even if not particularly well).
